We are sad to announce that on January 7, 2019, at the age of 86, James Compton (Gaffney, South Carolina), born in Anderson, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his spouse Janice Hammett Compton; his parents, Thomas Carl Compton, Sr. and Lona Lee Compton; and his brothers, Billy Compton and Thomas Compton.
He is survived by: his children, Matthew Compton, Allison Compton Turner (Chad) of Gaffney and Johanna Nye (Barry) of Hagerstown, Maryland; his grandchildren, Morgan Jackson (Bobby, Michael Turner), Ethan Turner and Emma Turner; and his great grandchildren, Harper Jackson and Everlie Jackson.
