He is survived by: his spouse Joyce Patterson Painter of Gaffney; his parent Clarissa Godfrey Painter; his children, William Bruce Painter of Denver and Vicki Bryant (Thomas) of Greenbelt; his stepsons, Mike Patterson (Vicki) and Donnie Patterson (Debbie); his grandson Spencer Bryant of Greenbelt; and his stepgrandchildren, Laura Martin (Jason) of Gaffney, Michael Patterson (Joy) of Gaffney, Donnie Patterson, Jr. of Gaffney and Josh Patterson (Kim) of Gaffney.
