It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Wood Sr. (Gaffney, South Carolina), who passed away on May 23, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Tommie Vance Wood and Annie Belle Smith Wood; his daughter Kelly Melaragno; and his sister Ann Wallace. He is survived by: his wife Irene Boatwright Wood; his sons, Jaime Wood (Julie) of Gaffney and Jason Wood (Angel) of Gaffney; his son-in-law Don Melaragno of Dawsonville, GA; his sister Rachel Henderson of Blue Ridge, GA; his brother-in-law Bill Wallace of Columbia; his grandchildren, Savanna Beheler (Steven), Jared Melaragno (Éowyn), Jordan Melaragno, Caroline McCLure (Matt), Nathan Wood, Camryn Wood and Christian Wood; and his great grandchildren, Mason Beheler, Thomas Beheler and Weston Wood. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
