He was predeceased by: his parent Richard N. Canaan; and his sister Pam Hussey. He is survived by: his spouse Kay Canaan; his parent Doris Jean Kirk Canaan; his daughters, Meg Allen (Kurt) of Green Creek, NC and Katie Jerozal (David) of Taylors; and his grandchildren, Savannah Boothe, Willa Boothe, Trilby Allen, Eli Jerozal and Elise Jerozal.
