He was predeceased by: his spouse Dorothy Marie Kendrick Herrin; his parent Hubert Lewis Herrin; his siblings, Joe Herrin, Billie D. Herrin and Dorothy Herrin Sparks; and his daughter-in-law Suzanne Herrin.
He is survived by: his parent Myrtle Jones Herrin; his children, James Paul Herrin of Gaffney and Nancy Herrin Elliott (Ed) of Gaffney; his brothers, Jerry Dean Herrin (Shirley) and Ted Herrin; his grandchildren, Charles Clifford Herrin (Sherry), Jennifer Elliott Mathis (Matt) and Erin Elliott Hogue (Grady); his great grandchildren, Drew Mathis, Ansley Mathis, Emma Hogue, Reagan Hogue, Alicia Dunnaway (Jarrod) and Evan Phillips (Christina); and his great great grandchildren, Kyle Dunnaway, Leah Dunnaway, Addison Phillips and Logan Phillips.
