We are sad to announce that on September 4, 2018, at the age of 85, Joan Simmons (Gaffney, South Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Horace Parker; her siblings, Mike Parker, Bill Parker, Era Phillips, Julia Martin and Nellie Mathis; and her grandson David Russell Greene.
She is survived by: her parent Eva Martin Parker; her children, Richard Simmons (Diane) of Gaffney, Kay Bowen (Danny) and Sherrie Upchurch; her sister Barbara Puszert of Gaffney; and her grandchildren, Ricky Lee Greene, Jay Simmons (Maria), Johnathan Simmons (Betty), Brandi Paige Barker, Curtis Allan Crosby (Christy), Megan Upchurch, Anthony Upchurch and Melanie Horne (Robbie).
