He is survived by: his wife Lisa Ruppe Pennington; his parents, Johnny Roland Pennington and Mary Miller Pennington of Gaffney; his children, Brandon Pennington of Gaffney, Craig Pennington of Gaffney, Brett Ruppe of Gaffney, Leanne Scoggins (Steve), Kelli Wright (Jason) and Alexia Smith of Gaffney; his sisters, Patty Thomas (Johnny) of Blacksburg and Aimee Bailey (Ronnie) of Gaffney; and his grandchildren, Cody Scoggins and Sarah Wright. He is also survived by great-grandchild on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.
