Johnny Lee Smith, the son of late Johnny Ruben Smith and the late Thelma Dawkins-Smith, was born on March 31, 1950, in Gastonia, North Carolina.

His Life
Johnny Lee Smith moved to Teaneck, New Jersey and lived in Los Angeles, California before residing in Gaffney, South Carolina. He married Olivia J. Smith the love of his life for 17 years.

Johnny Lee Smith departed this life on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at Cherokee Medical Center in Gaffney, South Carolina, In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Clarence Alfred Smith.

He leaves behind his devoted wife, Olivia J. Smith, a loving son John Lateef Smith, & daughter in-law Shannon Smith, of Inglewood, California, step-daughter Christina N. Moye, of Fair Lawn, New Jersey, sisters, Floree Smith-Anderson, Jimmy (brother-in-law) of Marietta, Ga, Mary Ann David, brother in-law William David of Powder Springs, Ga, Patricia Smith-Lawson of Hackensack, New Jersey, Melvin Lawson, brother in-law of Bergenfield, New Jersey, Maxine Smith-Hooks of Little Ferry, New Jersey, Grandchildren, Taylor Smith, Amari Renee Smith, Jonathan Bryce Smith and other granddaughters, Crystal M. Moye and Faith Green, of Fair Lawn, New Jersey, Host of Uncles, Aunts, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and many friends.

In times of personal loss, it is comforting to know that others care. The family sincerely thank each of you for the kindness, love, and sympathy extended to them during this most difficult time. May God continue to bless each of you.
