He was predeceased by: his wife Sandra Smith Phillips; his parents, John C. Phillips and Emma Lee Fowler Phillips; his son Jason Nicholas Phillips; his sister Ann McKinney; and his brother-in-law Mike Pettit.
He is survived by: his sons, Larry W. Phillips, Jr. of Gaffney, Keith P. Phillips (Amy) of Gaffney and Danny Lawing (Fannie) of Gaffney; his sisters, Mary Lee Poindexter (Terrell) of Gaffney and Brenda Pettit of Gaffney; his grandchildren, Bryson Phillips, Schylur Phillips, Julia Lawing and Blake Lawing; and his great grandchildren, Ayden, Leah, Julian, Madden and Isaiah.
