He was predeceased by: his wife Carrie Jane Vaughn Blackwell; and his parents, Lloyd George Blackwell, Sr. and Rose Lucille Gantt Blackwell. He is survived by: his children, Lloyd Christopher Blackwell (Vickie Ryan Blackwell) of Summerville, SC, Lorena Rose Blackwell LaGarde (David Neil LaGarde) of Wake Forest, NC and Tonja Jean Blackwell of Gaffney, SC; and his grandchildren, Ashley Marie Blackwell Gardner (Joseph Gardner) and Erica Jane LaGarde. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, burial will be a private graveside service, Reverend Jenny Gettys of The Episcopal Church of the Incarnation, Gaffney presiding.
