She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Plato Powell and Lois Blanton Powell; and her siblings, Wilson Powell, Franklin Powell, Carolyn Poole and Joyce Beheler.
She is survived by: her husband William Boyd Cook; her son Billy Dean Cook; and her siblings, Reverend Jimmy Powell (Judy) of Gaffney, Michael Otis Powell (Faye) of Gaffney and Mary Childers (Kenny) of Gaffney. She is also survived by two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
