She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilburn Hughey and Nell Lewis Hughey; and her siblings, Shirley Lee, Wilfred Hughey and Bobby Hughey.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Ray Chalk; her children, Gregory Caldwell Scruggs of Gaffney, Kevin Ray Chalk (Tonja) of Union and Alisha Seigle (Gerald) of Chester; her siblings, Sylvia Browder of Gaffney, Mildred Allen of Florida and Howard Hughey (Cindy) of Gaffney; her grandchildren, Seth Jordan Scruggs, Brennon Tyler Hambright, Kaleb Hunter Griffin, Maria Grace Griffin and Zachary Dalton Griffin; and her great grandchild Savannah.
