She was predeceased by: her parents, London Shell and Edona Shell; her children, Mary Sue Poole, William Clyde McAbee and Kenneth Dale McAbee; her siblings, Hazel Childers and London Shell; and her grandson Eric.

She is survived by: her sons, Larry McAbee (Katherin) and Robert McAbee of Gaffney; her grandchildren, Brandon Poole, Kenneth Hester (Marty), Lisa McAbee (Billy McDaniel) and April Bushnell; and her sister Minnie Bell Mullinax. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
