She was predeceased by: her husband Ned Cooksey Sr.; her parents, Charles Petty and Grace Petty; her daughter Laura Leigh Mabry; and her brother Benjamin Belton Petty.
She is survived by: her children, Ned Wayne Cooksey Jr. (Dina) of Pauline, SC and Jamie Cooksey (Linda) of Gaffney, SC; her sister Wartha Annette Martin of Spartanburg, SC; and her sister-in-law Cheryl Petty of Spartanburg. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, sixteen grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
