He is survived by: his grandchild Church; his children, Larry Dawkins and Denise Dawkins of Gaffney; his siblings, Virgil Dawkins (Lestine) of Gaffney, Clyde Dawkins (Vanessa) of Gaffney and Dorothy Cumberlander (Johnny) of Gaffney; his grandchildren, Tora Montgomery, Jamil Jefferies (Tasha), Wanketia Dawkins, Roy Dawkins (Caitlin), Joaquinn Jefferies, Dennis Dawkins, Jr., Jasmine Dover, Trey Dawkins and Jarrod Allen; his close friend Nellie Covington; and his foster children, Kevin Carpenter, Michelle Carpenter and Brian Sarratt. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
