He is survived by: his parent Vernie Keller Powell; his children, Samuel Coy Powell Jr. (Cindy) of Gaffney and Bettina Waters of Gaffney; his grandchildren, Kesha Jones (Samuel Coy) of Rhine, GA, Trey and Powell III (Renae Wright) of Gaffney; his great grandchildren, Georgia Kate, Griffin, Emily Jones of Rhine, GA, Heidi and Samuel Coy Powell IV; and his siblings, Bobby Powell of Gaffney, Ray Powell of Georgia, Wallace Powell of Cowpens, Elizabeth Phillips of Gaffney, Mildred Smith of Gaffney, Esther Truluck of Gaffney and Gail George of Gaffney.
