He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Jane Mullinax Thompson and Woodrow Thompson; his siblings, Roy Lee Thompson Sr. and Betty Sue Thompson; his siblings-in-law, Walter Spencer and Elizabeth Faye Thompson; his siblings' children, Christopher Thompson and Sandra Garland; and his friend Linda Emery.
He is survived by: his sister Nellie Mae Spencer of Gaffney; and his nieces, Susie Thompson and Traci Ervin.
