It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Althea A. Wright (Gaston, South Carolina), born in Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on March 13, 2018, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband Irvin Wright of Gaston; her stepchildren, Aaron Wright of Havelock, NC, Ruth Ann Scruggs of Newport, NC, Rusty Wright of Ohio and Elizabeth Bennett of Fayetteville, NC; her father Robert Hood of West Columbia; and her siblings, Debbie Smith of Sumter, Johny Hood of Gaston and Tina Smith of Gaston. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
