She was predeceased by: her parents, George Robbie Chavis and Ethel Bryan Chavis; her former husband Woodrow Davis; and her grandson Steven Boone. She is survived by: her husband Jack Dowd; her children, Alvin Davis (Tina), Betty Williamson (Ricky), Brenda Boone (Steve), Denny Davis, Kenny Davis (Sharon) and Rose Davis; her stepdaughter Jackie Greene (Ronald); and her siblings, Rev. Henry Chavis (Vernell), Mary Torrence and Jimmy Chavis (Jean). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
