We are sad to announce that on April 8, 2018, at the age of 83, Edith Bell Ray (Gaston, South Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parent Benjamin Frank Ray; and her sister Gwen Ray. She is survived by: her parent Jessie Dean York Ray; her sister Sybile Trammell; her niece Susan Trammell (Keith Merritt); her great-nephew Ryan Merritt; and her great-niece Megan Merritt.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in memory of Edith be made to First Baptist Church of Gastonia, PO Box 6298, Gastonia, NC 28056.
