She is survived by: her husband Jerry Wayne Avant; her parents, Troy Ward and Mary Lou Tisdale Ward; her children, Nita Lee Avant (Alex Martinez) and Corey Matthew Avant (Charlene); her grandchildren, Rosalyn, Jolene, Nita Lee and Cadence; and her brothers, Troy Ward, Jr. and Jason Ward (Melinda).

Due to Covid-19, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
