It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Allen Bertrand of Georgetown, South Carolina, who passed away on April 16, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Bertrand Sr. and Lillian Gale Bertrand; his son David Allen Bertrand Jr.; and his brothers, Alfred Jr. (Jean), Robert and James Bertrand.
He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Smith Bertrand; his children, Diana Bertrand Wellman (William), June Bertrand Sawyer (Joe Brown), Raymond Smith (Denise), Cynthia Smith Camara (Brian) and Ronald Smith (Lori); his sister Gale Joyal (Robert); his sisters-in-law, Lucette Bertrand, Roberta Garneau, Sandy Picott and Claire Morgan; and the mother of his children Sandra Binette. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
