She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Broshel Tompkins and Anges Elizabeth "Lizzie" Russ Tompkins; her children, Billy Ray, Joey Ray and Gary Ray; and her brothers, Louis Tompkins, Thomas Tompkins, Jr., Cecil Tompkins and Ralph Tompkins.
She is survived by: her children, Shakey Madden (Cherrie) of Maggie Valley, NC, Annette Owens (Ronnie) of Georgetown, SC, Alan Ray (Hilda) of Andrews, SC, Julia Flegel (Chuck) of Georgetown, SC and Sheila Locklair (Johnny) of Georgetown, SC; her brothers, Danny Tompkins (Judy) of Miami, FL and Hassie Tompkins (Lois) of Georgetown, SC; her grandchildren, Trey Flegel (Brittany), Crystal Throckmorten (Brian), Hillary Ray, Ashley McKenzie, Jessica Flegel, Candice Locklair, Matthew Ray, Patrick Ray (Taylor), Joshua Ray, Brandi Ray (Nick), Katie Ray, Michelle Collins (Benjie) and Chris Madden; her great grandchildren, Madison, Owen, Jameson, Nicholas, Jayden, Sophia, Jonathan, Logan, Memphis, Leo, Deliliah, Landon and Thomas; and her great great grandchildren, Jon Brian and Koah. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Tidelands Community Hospice at 2591 N Fraser Street, Georgetown, SC 29440.
