He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Jerome Mclendon and Nadine Summer Mclendon. He is survived by: his sons, Christopher "Kit" Mclendon (Whitney) of Columbia, SC and Scott Mclendon of Austin, TX; and his grandson Jeremy L. Owens of Andrews, SC..

Due to Covid-19, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
