It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy Ervin McConnell Sr. (Georgetown, South Carolina), who passed away on July 24, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father John Calvin "J. C."; his son Christopher Harter; and his siblings, Johnny McConnell, Henry McConnell, David McConnell, Marvin McConnell and Mary Frances McConnell Cohn.
He is survived by: his sons, Roy McConnell, Jr. of Georgetown, Wayne McConnell of Georgetown, Joseph McConnell (Bridgette) of Georgetown and Scott McConnell (Pam) of Georgetown; and his siblings, Barbara Cribb of Georgetown, Phyllis Blankenship (Frank) of Georgetown, Diane Rogers (Sammy) of Georgetown, Joyce Barnhill of Georgetown, Donna Kay Shuler (C. L.) of Georgetown, Roland Lambert (Connie) of Georgetown, Roger Dale McConnell, Sr. (Paula) of Georgetown, Woody McConnell (Darlene) of Georgetown and Bobby "Louie" McConnell (Monica) of Georgetown. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
