It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rupert Barnett Pope (Georgetown, South Carolina), born in Hemingway, South Carolina, who passed away on January 17, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Theron Kermit Pope and Annie Elmira Barnhill Pope. He is survived by: his wife Janet Cooper Pope of Georgetown; his sons, Barney Pope (Christie) of St. Stephen, Thomas "Tee" Pope (Danielle) of Georgetown and Aaron Pope of Charleston; his grandchildren, Kevin Pope (Nicole), AJ Pope of St. Stephen, Taylor Pope of St. Stephen and Emma Pope of Georgetown; and his siblings, Wendell Pope (Beulah) of Seneca, Gerald Pope (Betty) of Leicester, NC, Phillip Pope of Andrews, Clara Ann Casselman (Lee) of Spartanburg and Vergie Jane Howard of Andrews. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
