He was predeceased by: his parent Joseph Tilman; his wife Marjorie Amelia Davis Bouknight; and his siblings, Joseph Tilman Bouknight, Jr. and Grace Elizabeth Edelmann. He is survived by: his parent Gladys Lorick Bouknight; his stepson Eugene Powell, Jr. (Mary Lou); and his stepgrandsons, Eugene Powell, III (Heidi), Scott Powell (Robin) and John Powell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul's Church Priceville Road Cemetery.
