She was predeceased by: her parents, L. C. Amerson and Burina Stalvey Amerson; her son John Wesley Shealy; her brother Ralph Amerson; and her grandchild Brier M. Bouknight.
She is survived by: her children, Dean Preston and Donnie Jeff Shealy (Brittany); and her sisters, Ann Wankowski (Andy) and Jessica Lynn Bouknight. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
