He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Archie Byerly and Mary Lois James Byerly; and his siblings, Verma Dean Byerly, Clifford "Bill" Willie Byerly and Esther Marie Brande.
He is survived by: his wife Clara Ann Ballard Byerly; his children, Glenda Ooi (Michael) and David Byerly (Brianne); his brother Glenn Byerly (Fern); his grandchildren, Ashlyn Ooi, Rowan Ooi and Taylor Byerly West (Austin); and his great grandchildren, Connor, Logan, Kyla and Killian West. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
