She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Swinton Johnson and Melba Johnson; her husband Darrell "Bill" Kirk; her sons, Josh Baker (Jennifer), Matt Baker (Becky) and Brandon Kirk (Haley); and her sister Marie Ford (Bob). She was also cherished by 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in her memory to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
