We are sad to announce that on June 16, 2025, at the age of 96, Barbara Floyd Oakman (Piedmont, South Carolina), born in Supply, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Carter Floyd and Durham Floyd of Iowa; her husband James Howard Oakman; her siblings, Frances Camilla Floyd, Madeleine Durham Floyd, Bonnie Bell Forzly, Marjorie Brooks Stevens, Rachel Stasko of Iowa, Frank Carter Floyd, Jr. and Harry Nathaniel Floyd; and her nephews, John Mark Forzly, Timothy Forzly and Richard Stevens.
She is survived by: her son Dr. James H. Oakman, Jr. (Judy) of Greenville, SC; her grandson J. Robert Oakman of Simpsonville, SC; and her sister-in-law Sandra Floyd of Lexington, KY. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
