She was loved and cherished by many people including : her father Dr. B. B. Parks; her brother Russell "Rip" Parks (Edith); her son Joshua Parks Skinner (Megan); her stepgrandson Benjamin; her husband Ron Schiera; her daughters-in-law, Amy Schiera of Greenville and Kimberly Spenninck (Yannik); and her grandsons, Tristan and Nathan of Atlanta.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Building Fund, or Shepherd's Gate (Miracle Hill).
