He was predeceased by: his parents, DeWitt C. Steele Sr. and Lillian Steele. He is survived by: his wife Jeanie Young Steele; his daughters, Sherril Porterfield (Jim) and Shellie Reid (Bill); his grandchildren, Liam Reid (Slone), Riley Reid and Caroline Porterfield; and his sisters, Suzanne Smith and Janice Hague.
