It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Billie McMahan of Greenville, South Carolina, who passed away on May 13, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Waymon and Lena Gertrude Wiseman McMahan; his wife Clara Faye Crisp McMahan; his daughter Deborah Lynn Looper; and his sisters, Maneva Mae Farr, Genevieve Robertson and Doris Thelma McMahan Hampton.
He is survived by: his daughter Wendy Lou Harris (David Andrew); his son-in-law Stephen Wayne Looper; his grandchildren, James Bennett Harris (Brooke), Erin Alyssa Hamblen (Nate), Cara Ansley Brewton (Mark), Andrew Talmadge Looper (Stephanie), Jessica Caroline Looper and Matthew Stephen Looper; and his great grandchildren, Calista Celine Hamblen, Lucia Grace Hamblen, Pierce Lionel Hamblen, Charlotte Lynn Looper, Caroline Leigh Looper, James Holden Harris, Hathaway Grey Harris and Ava Clare Brewton.
