She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Smith and Harry Smith of Hollis; and her husband Hugh Joseph Worthen of Bennington, VT. She is survived by: her sons, William Worthen of New York, NY and Wade Worthen of Greenville, SC.; her grandchildren, Joseph (Rachel Ewing) and Kathleen Lowrey (Nathan Lowrey); her child-in-law Jean Childress; her daughter Mallary Taylor; her nieces and nephews, Judith Gevry of Fair Haven, VT, Jane Eaton of Woodstock, VT, Robert Worthen, Jr. of Oviedo, FL and Michael Worthen of Durham, NC; and also Talley Murphy.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, May 25th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes - Downtown Chapel (639 N Main St, Greenville, SC 29601).
