For while she may have departed from this earthly realm, her spirit remains a beacon of light, guiding us through the darkest of nights.

She was predeceased by : her spouse Gaines "Bill" Hudson; and her parents, Miles James and Lula Ross James. She is survived by : her children, Mary Sue Hudson, Joyce Blackwell (Mike), Patricia Ann O'Bryant (Rodger) and David Dale Hudson (Ruth); her daughter-in-law Brenda Hudson; her son Marvin Earle Hudson; and her granddaughters, Connie Lynn Wilson and Evelyn Marie Dickerson. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; three great-great-great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes (6710 White Horse Rd, Greenville, SC 29611). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest Chapel (6710 White Horse Rd, Greenville, SC 29611). A burial was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Brushy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery (4999 Old Spartanburg Rd, Taylors, SC 29687).
