With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Misty Blue Childress of Greenville, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 25, 2025 at the age of 40. She is survived by: her parents, Sheila Dobson (Rick) and Mike Owens (Tracy); her children, Kallan Childress and Jewelyann Blythe; her sister Mandy Owens (Jen); her niece Ashley Phillips; and her stepsiblings, Annie Lee (Ryan), Matt Owens (Nicole) and Gregory Keilman.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Pickens County Humane Society.

“R.i.p misty, you will be missed! Im so sorry for the family's loss. I worked with misty at waffle house a while back. We became pretty good friends and I know she struggled with a lot of things. I had really hoped she was doing better than the last time I saw her. I had moved out of greenville and hadn't talked to her in a while and now to find out she is gone truly saddens me to no end. I know she will be at piece now though and she won't struggle anymore. Again I'm so sorry for her loss.”
