She was predeceased by: her mother Martha Spillers Thomas; her sons, Chris and Jason Futrell (Lewis Futrell); and her brother Gary Thomas. She is survived by: her father John Thomas; her daughter Amber Ellis (Scott); her grandsons, Landon and Matthew Houston Ellis; her brother Randy Thomas (Terrie); and her sister-in-law Gail Thomas.
