She was predeceased by : her spouse Carroll Hubert Blackwell; her parents, Paul Childress and Lula Mae Sanders Childress; her son Carroll Steven Blackwell; and her siblings, James Childress and Monk Buchanan.

She is survived by : her son Neil Blackwell (Donna) of Anderson; her granddaughter Savannah Blackwell Campbell (Will) of Greenwood; her great grandchildren, Wells and Lainey Campbell; and her stepgrandsons, Eric and Trevor Carman.
