He was predeceased by: his mother Rachel Rhodes Butler; his son Danny Barker; his son-in-law Jasper Turner; his grandson Stephen Dropps; and his sister Martha Dinkins.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Strom Butler; his daughters, Debbie Turner of Greenwood and Dee Swofford (Chuck) of Hodges; his grandchildren, Jason Turner (Stephanie), Casey Tompkins (David), Michael Dropps (Merci), Ashley Wolf (Landon), Tori Bugg (Matt) and Jessica Smith (Mike); and his siblings, Walter Butler (Shirley) of Murrells Inlet and Kathy Rodriguez-Feo of Athens, GA. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
