It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Vera Jean Allen of Greenwood, South Carolina, born in Hanover, New Hampshire, who passed away on March 15, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Bradford Leavitt and Helen Osgood Leavitt; her children, Donna Lynn Napier and Charles Andrew Allen; and her sister Ann Rutherford.

She is survived by: her husband Charles Leroy Allen; her children, Amy Sprouse and Randall Scott Allen; her grandchildren, Todd Andrew Allen, Kristal Tenille Allen, Kortney Napier Hall (Sam), Jeffery Tyler Allen (Kyndra), Philip "Trey" Rosenberg (Amber), Kailee Renee Allen, Trenton Ray Andrew Allen (Elizabeth) and Haven Elise Sprouse; and her sisters, Linda McCarthy (Jim), Dottie Gibson (Don), Edna Hayes (Dean), Joanie Moore and Julie Rankin (Thomas). She is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
