He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley and Grace Gregory; and his siblings, Lillie Mae Wilkes and Johnny M. Gregory. He is survived by: his wife Mamie "Mickey" Dawkins; his children, Fred Dawkins of Greer, Walter Dawkins of Greer, Amazia Dawkins of Greer, James Dawkins of Greer, Gabe Dawkins of Greer, Alvin Dawkins of Greer and Maurice Dawkins of Greer; and his siblings, Margarett G. Turner, James "Doug" Gregory (Martha), Everett Gregory (Thomascene) and Robert (Valarie).
