She was predeceased by: her spouse Thomas D. Hammond; and her parents, Claude T. Barnette and Clara Bell Bramlett Barnette. She is survived by: her children, Susan Stone (Victor) of Taylors, Jim Hammond (Elizabeth) of Taylors and Mike Hammond (Mary) of Greer; her brother John Barnette of Taylors; and also Nancy Wilson. She is also survived by three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
