He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arthur Carroll and Frances Lockhart Fowler; his wife Katherine Plemmons Fowler; his children, Elizabeth Smith (Dale Smith) of Greer and Zachary Fowler of Greer; his sister Melinda Fowler of Greer; his grandchildren, Jinnise Smith and D. J. Smith; and his brother Nathan Fowler. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
