He was predeceased by: his daughter Renee Robertson; and his siblings, Paul Hamby, Jr., Fred Hamby, John Hamby, Frances Pearson, Clara Mae Satterfield and Inez Bennett.
He is survived by: his daughter Dianne Tucker (Danny); his brother James Earl "Tee" Hamby; his grandchildren, Mandy Cockrell (Patrick), Tyler Tucker (Carla), Cale Tucker (Sarah) and Matthew O'Shields; and his close friend Mary Leonard. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
The family request that memorials be made to Burnsview Baptist Church Building Fund, 9690 Reidville Road Greer SC 29651.
