He was predeceased by: his parents, Labe McCurley and Harley Seymore Shepherd. He is survived by: his children, Susan Mahaffey (Frederick) of Taylors, Lisa Welsh of Greer, Charles D. McCurley of Travelers Rest and Darin Kevin McCurley (Susan) of Simpsonville; his grandchildren, Miranda Gwinn (Lance) of Greer, Heather Warren (Wayne) of Ft. Inn, Brandon McCurley (Courtney) of Easley, John Joseph Welsh VI (Lois) of New York and Camryn Alexis Welsh of Taylors; and his great grandchildren, Lauren Welborn, Colin Warren, Addison Gwinn, Gavin Warren, Raegan McCurley and Benjamin McCurley.
