It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christine Simpkins Gates (Greer, South Carolina), born in Manchester, Georgia, who passed away on August 22, 2020, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband James Robert Gates; and her siblings, George Roosevelt Simpkins, Pauline Simpkins Miller and Bernice Simpkins Page. She is survived by: her brother Mills Mill; her son Ronald Dennis Hennett (Connie) of Greer; her stepdaughter Cheryl Gates Few (Buddy) of Switzer; her granddaughters, Blair Hennett Zeimetz and Ashley Christine Hennett; her stepgrandsons, Robert Chad Ellis and Jeremy Todd Ellis; and her great grandchildren, William McCauley Zeimetz and Weston Michael Zeimetz.
