He is survived by: his wife Janice Ballew Heaton; his children, Colin Douglas Heaton II (Denise), Brian Scott Heaton (Julie), Kevin Douglas Heaton (Wendy) and Keri Heaton Lewis (Jeremy); his siblings, Kenneth Heaton, Jerry Heaton and Wilma Bonvillion Heaton; his stepsisters, Rebecca Grubb, Gayle Hurst and Linda Myers; and his grandchildren, Zachary Heaton, Bryson Heaton, Garrett Heaton, Ava Lewis, Joshua Lewis, Tristan Heaton, Max Heaton and Thibault Faouz.
