She was predeceased by: her parents, Era Rustin and James Rustin; her husband Raymond B. McKinley, Sr.; her siblings, Velda Hendrix, James R. Rustin, William O. Rustin and Bobby N. Rustin; and her friend Doris Taylor.
She is survived by: her children, Renita McKinley Douglas (Barry), Rosi, Rosie McKinley Hedgpeth (Bill), Ralph B McKinley (Anne), Raymond B. McKinley, Jr. (Teresa), James Rodger McKinley and Robert Marvin McKinley (DeAnn); her grandchildren, Nicholas, Andrew, Hayden, Erynn, Chris, Stephanie, Katie, David, Kellie, Megan, Mary, Michael, Lydia and Luke; her great grandchildren, Alex, Aurora, Rosalyn, Holden and River; and her siblings, Alma Lee McAdam (James), Aubrey L. Rustin (Molly), Dewitt Rustin and Norma Jean McDarmont (Richard). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
