He was predeceased by: his parents, William R. Hawkins and Ressie Bagwell Hawkins. He is survived by: his wife June "Runt" Galloway Hawkins; his daughters, Tina Swafford (Van) and Renee Hawkins (Mark); his brother Marion "Straw" Hawkins of Greer; and his grandchildren, Steven Hawkins (Leslie), Kacie Marcus Rupert (Deanne), Blake Swafford (Sara Ashleigh), Chase Marcus (Alex) and Brooke Lacell (Richie). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Praise Cathedral- Building Fund, 3390 Brushy Creek Road, Greer, SC 29650.
